The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has disclosed that 1,025 patients were discharged from various treatment facilities after making full recovery from COVID-19.
The agency, which made this known in the early hours of Friday via its verified Twitter handle, further added that the recoveries were recorded in the Federal Capital Territory and 10 community recoveries in Akwa Ibom State.
According to the body, the country has now discharged a total of 149,822 patients nationwide.
“1,015 community recoveries in FCT and 10 community recoveries in Akwa Ibom State managed in line with guidelines,” the statement read.
However, the NCDC noted that the data from FCT were recorded over the last two days.
Meanwhile, the NCDC On the 25th of March 2021 said that “97 new confirmed cases were recorded in Nigeria.”
The statement added that “till date, 162,275 cases have been confirmed, 149,822 cases have been discharged and 2036 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
The new infections were registered from 14 states and the FCT with Lagos state recording 50 cases, Kaduna 12, FCT 10 and Bayelsa 8.
Other states were: Imo 3, Kwara 3, Bauchi 2, Osun 2, as well as Akwa Ibom, Edo, Kano, Ogun, Oyo, Plateau, and Zamfara with one case each.
A multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 3, continues to coordinate the national response activity.
