Bose Ogulu, mother of Afro-fusion singer Burna Boy, has described her son’s Grammy Award as the best Mother’s Day present for her.
In a video shared on Burna Boy’s Twitter handle, Ogulu could be seen leading the chants in a room filled with relatives and close associates of the singer.
They were captured singing and dancing to the rhythm of one of his songs, ‘Ye’ after he was announced winner of Best Global Music Album category.
In another video, Ogulu also revealed that Burna Boy’s Grammy win was the best Mother’s Day present she could ever receive and that she was a proud mother.
Burna Boy rose to prominence in 2012 after the launch of “Like to Party”, the lead single from his debut studio album L.I.F.E.

Recall that Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, in a statement issued by him described the awards as fitting rewards for the persistent and hard work of the Afro beats singer.
He expressed hope that the clinching of the prestigious award by Burna Boy would not only spur him to greater heights but would also serve as a source of inspiration for others.
