Rinu becomes UN face for peace, dignity and equality
EndSARS campaigner, Rinu Oduola, has reportedly become the United Nations face for peace, dignity and equality.
The excited rights activist took to her verified Twitter handle to share the joy with her 273K followers on Friday.
“I woke up being a face on @UN for peace, dignity and equality on a healthy planet. At a time when Nigerian youths are at their lowest, struggling to make their voices heard & respected, this is really warming,” she tweeted.

Recall that Rinu stepped down from the Lagos State Judicial Panel of Inquiry investigating the alleged shooting of #EndSARS protesters by soldiers at the Lekki toll gate in October 2020.
The former youth representative on the Lagos State Judicial Panel of Inquiry argued that “justice has not been served” and as such, she refuses to “be part of a cover-up”.
She stated that “the government is only out to use us for performative actions” after the panel gave the green light to reopen toll gate “without a final panel report or actionable steps”.
“My stand on the reopening of the toll gate is clear; the state govt & the private organisation operating the toll have not been cleared of collusion with elements allegedly deployed by the federal govt to target citizens on home soil during a time of peace, without provocation,” Rinu said in a lengthy post.
