Christmas: Reno Omokri warns against going in debt to get gifts for loved ones
Former Presidential aide, Reno Omokri, has warned his social media followers against running into debt in order to get Christmas gifts for loved ones.
Omokri made this known on Friday to his 877.8K followers on his verified Twitter account.
Recall that the rights activist had previously labelled Christmas celebration a pagan holiday two days ago, causing a divide amongst his followers.
“This movement to keep Christ in Christmas is the most deceptive thing I have ever witnessed in religion. Christ was never in Christmas in the first place. Christmas is a pagan holiday. Scripture is clear: ‘Light and darkness cannot mix’-2 Corinthians 6:14,” he said.
Speaking to his followers today, Omokri argued that going into debt for a loved one is not a sign of love rather it’s foolishness that can lead to death.
“Don’t go into debt in order to buy presents for friends and family this season. Going into debt does not prove you love them. Rather, it shows you love foolishness because only foolish people deliberately start a New Year with debt. Such debt cause death,” he tweeted.
