Gbajabiamila: Newspaper vendors to stage protest at NASS
Newspaper vendors will stage a protest today at the premises of the National Assembly, NASS, over the killing of their member.
The member identified as Ifeanyichukwu Elechi was shot when the security men attached to the convoy of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, opened fire to disperse some men obstructing their movement.
Sahara Reporters publisher and Revolution Now campaigner, Omoyele Sowore, gave details of the protest.
He tweeted: “Newspaper Vendors in Abuja protest at @nassnigeria over the killing of their member, Ifeanyichukwu Elechi by @femigbaja‘s security aide. The speaker admitted that his aides shot/killed Elechi but sadly they fled the scene. If you are in that vicinity, join the protest.”
