Lai Mohammed keeps mum on CBN freezing account of #EndSARS protesters
The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, has refused to comment on the decision of the CBN to freeze the accounts of EndSARS campaigners.
Lai Mohammed declined to make comment on the issue when he was accosted by journalists after a Federal Executive Council meeting in Abuja.
The minister said that he cannot comment on the issue because the judicial panel set up to tackle the issues raised by the protesters has started its investigation.
Some of those who have their accounts frozen by the CBN include Bolatito Racheal Oduala, Chima David Ibebunjoh, Mary Doose Kpengwa, Saadat Temitope Bibi, Bassey Victor Israel, Wisdom Busaosowo Obi, Nicholas Ikhalea Osazele, Ebere Idibie, Akintomide Lanre Yusuf, Uhuo Ezenwanyi Promise, and Mosopefoluwa Odeseye.
Others are: Adegoke Pamilerin Yusif. Umoh Grace Ekanem, Babatunde Victor Segun, Mulu Louis Teghenan, Mary Oshifowora, Winifred Akpevweoghene Jacob, Victor Solomon, Idunu A. Williams, and Gatefield Nigeria Limited.
