COVID-19 heightened need for good leadership – Pastor Sam Adeyemi
Pastor Sam Adeyemi of Daystar Christian Center has stated that the COVID-19 outbreak has intensified the need for good leadership in nations across the world.
Speaking on his official Twitter account on Thursday, Adeyemi maintained that humanity must be at the centre of the leadership process.
He also stated that leadership goes together with love, adding that it is more than power, positions or titles.
His tweet reads: “People in leadership positions need to realise that the COVID-19 pandemic has heightened the need for good leadership globally. More than power, positions or titles, humanity must be at the centre of the leadership process. Love and leadership go together. #leadership”
The world gradually went into an almost entire lockdown after the deadly coronavirus (COVID-19) broke out in the Hubei Province of Wuhan City, China in December 2019.
At the time of this report, there are a total of 48,562,903 COVID-19 cases across the world with a death recorded of at least 1,232,964 while a total of 34,784,066 infected persons have recovered so far.
According to world trackers, Worldometers, there are at least 12,545,873 active cases of COVID-19 globally.
The USA, India and Brazil account for the top three most infected cases having recorded a total of 9,802,374, 8,364,086 and 5,590,941 cases respectively since the outbreak in China.
While America leads with the chart of most deaths recorded by country(s) with 239,842, Brazil and India switch places with 161,170 and 124,354.
Meanwhile, Nigeria has recorded a total of 63,328 and 1,155 deaths since reporting its first case on the 27th of February 2020 after an Italian citizen who works in Nigeria and returned from Milan, Italy to Lagos, Nigeria on the 25th of February 2020.
