PHOTOS: Ex-governor share N30m cash to traders, SEE how the funds were packed
Traders in Sokoto State who lost their shops and properties to fire outbreak recently had reason to smile this week as former governor of the state, Attahiru Bafarawa fulfilled his N30m cash promise to them.
It would be recalled that the old market in Sokoto State was gutted with fire on July 24th, 2016 which resulted in lost of properties worth millions of naira.
After the fire outbreak, Bafarawa had promised the traders a whooping sum of N30m.
According to Hausa media outlet, Rariya, the former governor made good his promise this week as he doled out the funds to the traders.
He was represented by the Sokoto State PDP Chairman, Ibrahim Milgoma, who distributed the amount in cash to the traders.
