Ghanaian-Nigerian actress Christabel Ekeh is reportedly in Police custody over her nude photos which went viral online.
According to reports by Ghbase.com, the actress is being interrogated by the Ghanaian Police in a bid to tighten up indecent exposure laws in the country.
“Christabel Ekeh is currently under interrogations for releasing her shoddy naked pictures on social media. We are following up on the matter and will communicate back to our patrons accordingly.” Ghbase.com wrote.
The 26-year-old who posted her nude photos on Instagram has received a lot of criticisms from fans and have been taken off the page by Instagram.
In a recent interview, Ekeh disclosed that displaying nude pictures of herself on social media was a way of introducing to the world the ‘new Christabel’.
In the images she displayed on her Instagram, she was captured in a yoga sitting position and in an almost backflip position.
Ekeh said, “I noticed the page was taken down but it’s my way of welcoming everyone to the ‘new Christabel’
Asked who this ‘new Christabel’ was, the actress who has starred in movies like ‘potomanto’, and ‘sweet mistake’ answered, “it is whoever you can imagine.”
“That’s why I’m not wearing anything. So whatever you want to wear on me, that’s your imagination.”
The actress mother and siblings also defended her nude photos, saying she is a very decent girl and sometimes the nature of her work as an actress and model makes her go unclad for some promotional campaigns.
