COVID-19: Jigawa extends work at home order to civil servants
Jigawa State Government has extended the work at home order to civil servants in the State for an additional one week.
This was contained in a statement signed by the State Head of the Civil Service, Alhaji Hussaini Ali Kila obtained by DAILY POST.
He said the additional one week started from Tuesday, June 23rd, 2020 to Tuesday, June 30th, 2020.
He said Government was doing its best to safeguard the lives of the people of the State and prevent further spread of the deadly coronavirus in the State.
Ali, however, urged Civil Servants in the State to do everything possible to take good care of themselves and observe all hygiene practices to ensure that they were protected from being infected with coronavirus.
The statement further urged the Civil Servants to continue to pray at all times for economic prosperity of the State and to help beat the pandemic.
While briefing newsmen over the weekend Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar said the State government was carefully watching the situation for the possibility of calling civil servant back to work and opening schools.
“Certainly the next move is to assess the situation and see if we can recall all our workers back or some levels, we then analyse and see the compliance, then we decide on possibilities of opening schools and what protocols we will develop in the schools,” he said.
According to reports, Jigawa state government had lifted all the lockdown orders, reopened markets and opened interstate movements.
This followed the successful discharged of all the 317 Covid-19 patients, and closing of all the isolation centers in the State.
