Nollywood actress, Toyin Abraham, popularly known as Aimakhu said that in order to run away from problems; she took to drugs and smoked heavily in a recent interview she granted Broadway television.

The Alakada reloaded producer could not find words to express her joy over the success of the comedy movie that raked in N25m in three days.

According to the artiste, her turbulent relationship with her husband was unfortunate, a thing she never planned for.

She said she suffered depression after her marriage did not work out and her subsequent relationship with Seun Ebegbe.

“After my marriage, there were so many negative things I had to deal with depression and drugs, smoking, codeine! Codeine is very bad.

“All these things were empowering my negative energy. Sometimes, even when I do something very good and positive, there’s a way it would end up being negative.

“So I had to stop. I did not love myself enough, and I want people around me to love me” she said.

The naturally enthusiastic actress at some point in the interview broke down in tears as she remembered the horrors of her past. She concluded by thanking God, family members and fans for being there with her and for her.

She surprisingly said that the much talked about ‘Alakada Reloaded’ was the first movie she put so much energy into.
