Saying no to domestic violence starts with you, Huddah Monroe
Former Big Brother Africa Housemate from Kenya, Huddah Monroe took to the social media to blame women who stay in an abusive relationship for too long.
In a series of posts believed to be a targeted at Mercy Aigbe, a Nigerian actress whose marriage is currently under pressure due to accusations of domestic violence, Monroe said women should act fast once they see evidence of domestic violence for the first time.
“If he slaps you once, he will do it again,” she wrote.
She indicated that it is almost an impossible feat to change a violent spouse, so it is better to just leave at the first sign.
