COVID-19: Korea evacuates 169 nationals from Nigeria
169 Koreans have been repatriated out of Nigeria through the Murtala Muhammed International airport and Port Harcourt airport.
The Korean nationals were evacuated at the request of their government to further protect them against the ongoing spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.
An Ethiopian Airline aircraft, a Boeing 787 flight ET-ASH en-route Port Harcourt landed at the Lagos international airport with 136 passengers at 1.20 pm.
The same plane picked 33 Koreans from the Lagos airport and departed Nigeria with a total of 169 passengers on board at 2.53 pm en route Addis Ababa to Korea.
The flight was operated under a special arrangement with an approval given by the ministry of aviation.
