COVID-19: Actor Desmond Elliot slammed over his ‘makeshift cleansing’ project
Nollywood actor cum politician, Desmond Elliot has been severely lambasted after posting photos showing how his contributing his own quota to combat the covid-19 spread.
The actor was slammed after he constructed a ‘makeshift cleansing’ project in Surulere, the constituency he represents in Lagos State House of Assembly.
Recall that Desmond Elliot shared photos of some Lagosians using his “makeshift cleansing mechanism” on Instagram, disclosing that they are sited at “Olodeokuta, Ojuelegba, Love Garden, Hugan Bassey, Masha bus stop, Shirts bus stop, Adelabu, Iponri, Bode Thomas and Ishaga Road”.

However, some social media users who reacted to photos of the project the lawmaker proudly showed off, described it as an “embarrassment” and a “joke”
Some social media users called his act a stupid one saying that even with the government issuing a stay-at-home policy he still expected netizens to come out and queue just so they wash their hands.
