Latest report reaching us inform that a bus carrying at least eighteen passengers travelling from Agbor to Warri in Delta State on Friday morning burst into flame.
According to eyewitness report, all the passengers narrowly cheated death with some of them sustaining minor injuries.
It was gathered that passengers in the bus noticed some smokes inside the moving vehicle at the Police Junction in Abraka, the university community of the Delta State University (DELSU).
One of the passengers, Esther Ozowa, told our correspondent that they managed to escape before the bus was entirely gutted by fire.
She said they later found out that the inferno emanated from the engine box.
Narrating what happened, Esther said, “Join me to thank God. I just survived a major accident. A Delta State Inter-City Bus I was travelling with to Warri from Agbor went into flame on motion but managed to escape without casualty. We were inside the bus and suddenly all we heard was fire.
“We were already in Abraka when the incident occurred. We were able to escape because of the little traffic we encountered at Police Junction in Abraka if not it would have been a different story.”
It was gathered that the bus was carrying mainly students and few elderly.
