Four Boko Haram kingpins nabbed in Lagos
The Department of State Services, DSS, said today in Abuja that four suspected members of Boko Haram sect were arrested at Oko-Oba area of Agege, Lagos State on Tuesday.
A statement signed by the spokesperson for the service, Mr. Tony Opuiyo, stated that the suspects fled to Lagos to evade arrest in North-East.
He gave the names of the suspects as Fanayi Hassan, Butame Hassan, Kologoni Bukar and Amina Abubakar.
Opuiyo added that the suspects “fled to the state (Lagos) to evade arrest in the ongoing military offensive in the North-East.”
In a related development, Opuiyo said that the leader of Boko Haram sect in Okene, Mr. Abdullahi Mohammed, also known as Huja, was arrested at Okene town.
He said that the suspect had been responsible for the co-ordination of Boko Haram activities in Okene axis of Kogi State.
