Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State, on Tuesday, commenced the distribution of about 5000 eye glasses to beneficiaries with different sight problems.
The gestures which is part of the government’s poverty alleviation programme started at a government house arcade, Ado Ekiti.
The state’s Commissioner for Health, Dr. Simon Ojo, said no fewer than 5000 beneficiaries have already been tested.
Dr. Ojo also hinted that the second batch of the free glass distribution will continue next year.
