Shocking! Governor fights minister publicly following argument during rally (photos)
Governor Cyprian Awiti of Homa Bay in Kenya has reportedly engaged in a public brawl with lawmaker, Oyugi Magwanga.
The governor, it was gathered, fought dirty with the minister following an argument at a rally on Sunday, November 26.
The fisticuff was between both members of the Orange Democratic Movement Party and it took the intervention of party leader, Raila Odinga, to restore sanity.
Chaos had reportedly erupted when supporters of area governor Cyprian Awiti and Kasipul-Kabondo MP Oyugi Magwanga’s clashed at a local stadium after supporters of the two leaders attempted to reach the main dais at Homa Bay Stadium.
While Awiti’s supporters chanted slogans in support of his re-election, those of Magwanga, who has declared his interest in the governor’s seat said he must be voted out next year.
And when push came to shove, a shouting match ensued before it turned physical.
