The Nigerian Police Force has recorded massive success in combating crimes in the six geo-political zones of the country.According to a press statement made available to journalists, the force in a sting operation to checkmate corruption and unprofessional misconduct within an outside the police force has led to the arrest of crooked officers and other suspects.
Reports say most of the suspects were former police officers that were arrested for unacceptable professional misconduct.
They were either involved in aiding and abetting serious crimes, conspiracy with militants, disappearance of explosives and other forms of crimes.
The interrogation and confessions of the former policemen also led to the arrest of principal suspects as well as the recovery of many arms and ammunition.
