Governor Obaseki pays first visit to Inspector-General of Police in Abuja

Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, on Thursday, paid a courtesy visit to the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim K. Idris, NPM, mni in Abuja.

The the Inspector-General of Police received Governor Obaseki at his office in the force headquarters Abuja.

This was made known in the pictures shared on the Facebook page of the Nigeria Police Force.

The purpose of the Governor’s visit to the IGP was unknown as at the time of writing this report but it is believed it would be to ensure synergy between the government and the state police for securing the lives and properties of Edo people.

Recall that Obaseki who contested on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was sworn in as the Governor of Edo State on November 12 after defeating his closest rival, Pastor Ize Iyamu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the just concluded gubernatorial election in the state.
