The Director-General of the National Council for Arts and Culture (NCAC), Otunba Olusegun Runsewe, has mocked crossdresser Idris Okuneye otherwise known as Bobrisky over his ill-fated birthday party last weekend.

WuzupNigeria reports that Bobrisky’s 28th birthday celebration was slated for two locations in Lagos with one to hold on Saturday 31 August and another for Sunday 1 September, but operatives of the Lagos State Police Command sealed the venue on Saturday.

The Lagos Police spokesperson, Bala Elkana, had said that they acted on intelligence to seal the venues of the birthday party at Pearls Gardens in Lekki Phase 1 and Paradise Boat Club, Victoria Island where another one was scheduled to hold on Sunday.

But Nigerians on social media attributed Bobrisky’s ordeal to his face-off with the NCAC DG.

Recall that a few days before his birthday, Bobrisky had lashed out at Runsewe for calling him a ‘national disgrace’.

Runsewe had condemned Bobrisky’s way of life and said he would be dealt with if caught on the streets.

In his reaction, Bobrisky took to his IG page to dare Runsewe to make good on his threats and claims he rolls with his bosses in government.

In the IG post he has since deleted he said:

“I heard someone in the govt talked about me few days ago. Pls tell him am waiting for him. Is then he will know I roll with his boss in the government and not someone in his level. So he left other serious issues in Nigeria to address Bobrisky. But I am popular sha.”

On Saturday, when all was set for his much talked about birthday party, police sealed off the venue and the party could not hold.

Runsewe who featured on NTA’s current affairs programme, ‘Platform’, said Bobrisky’s statement that he rolls with his bosses is enough to put a dent on the credibility of the nation.

Asked by the presenter, Bridget Onochie, on his thought about Bobrisky’s claim on social media about his (Runsewe) bosses, he said:

“He is a national disaster and an embarrasment to this country.

“If he rolls with my bosses, when they sealed where his party was to take place on Saturday, why didn’t he call my bosses to come and open the door

“We blocked the place and the whole food, everything wasted.

“If we catch anybody on the street disgracing this country, there is no room for anomaly in this country.

“He was only dropping names, he knows nobody.

“That statement he made is enough to disgrace the credibility of our country.”
