Hours after Naira Marley’s arrest the Chief Superintendent of Police, Dolapo Badmus, has made a “mocking” statement on her Instagram page which may be in reaction to the singer’s predicament.
The social media savvy said, “the only authentic NAIRA I know is Nigeria’s legal tender”.
Badmus who has always shown her distaste for fraudsters aka Yahoo Boys went further to say “other naira attached to something is a counterfeit.”
“The only authentic NAIRA I know is Nigeria’s legal tender. Any other naira attached to something is a counterfeit! #bearolemodel #saynotointernetfraud #ifyousupportyahoobusinessyouareillegal #dontdestroynigeria #stopgivingunneccesaryexcuseforfraud #ifyousupportyahoomayyoubeavictim,”Badmus wrote.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission had revealed that Niara Marley was arrested with other persons in relation to advance fee fraud and Internet-related cases.
Recall that the Dolapo Badmus had once said she wished there was a law that makes anyone openly canvassing for fraudsters to be as guilty as them.
She opined anyone that supports Yahoo business needs to have a serious brain check stressing that “how on earth will a sane person support daylight criminality?
WuzupNaija reports that ace comedian and actor, Ali Baba, had also said that Yahoo Boys and anyone endorsing them are both criminals.
