SARS brutality continues because Nigerians believe it is a manifestation of our dehumanization – Seun Kuti
Afrobeat star, Seun Kuti, in a new interview, said that SARS brutality continues because Nigerians believe it is a normal occurrence and a manifestation of our own acceptance of our dehumanization.
The 36-year-old musician made this declaration in a recent interview with Sahara Reporters.
The celebrated singer added that black people should know that we are entitled to be everything that humanity is, good and bad inclusive.
He is quoted as saying,
“As black people, one thing we should know is that we are entitled to be everything that humanity is, especially the bad and still be considered human being. No matter what you do, you are still a human being, this is what humans do.”
Seun Kuti’s comments are coming in the wake of renewed agitations against police brutality across the nation, in the wake of the murder of a football fan, Kolade Johnson, in April which received widespread condemnation.
