Nigerian lady attempts GWR for longest time spent painting nails

A resident of Jos, Plateau State, Lisha Seleme Dachor, is currently attempting to set a Guinness World Record for the longest time spent painting artificial nails by an individual.

The Nail-A-Thon, which began on April 28th, is set to conclude on May 1st. Held at the Tamarald Events Centre in Old Airport, Jos, Dachor has been tirelessly painting nails for over 40 hours straight, aiming to break the existing record.

Dachor has been diligently painting the artificial nails of participants who have turned up at the location.

Speaking about her motivation for undertaking this challenge, Dachor expressed her excitement and determination to make history. She stated, “I am thrilled to have this opportunity to attempt a Guinness World Record right here in Jos. It’s been an amazing experience, and I am grateful for all the support.”

While Dachor’s attempt marks the first-ever nail painting marathon of its kind, it is worth noting that existing records in the field of nail art include the Guinness World Record for the most people painting their fingernails simultaneously, achieved by Oye Foundation, Simran Jethwani and Polycab Wires Pvt. Ltd. in India on November 14, 2021.

Additionally, the record for the largest nail polish mosaic pattern measures 27.96 m² (300.96 ft²) and was achieved by Colorbar Cosmetics Private Limited (India) at DLF Mall of India, Noida, India on November 11, 2022.
