Nigerian actor Godwin Nnadiekwe has revealed that a forceful kick to his chest from fellow actor Zubby Michael during filming was not part of the script.

In a social media post, Nnadiekwe shared that the kick was unexpected and not directed by the film’s director.

A behind-the-scenes video circulating online shows Michael exiting a vehicle and jumping over a barricade before delivering the kick.

Following the incident, Nnadiekwe sought medical attention on his own, as the production team reportedly did not assist him.

He also urged for stricter safety regulations in Nollywood productions, emphasizing the lack of insurance and adequate medical support on many sets.

Shortly after, Nnadiekwe’s management confirmed that his condition had deteriorated, requiring urgent hospitalisation due to internal bleeding.

“We regret to inform you that Actor Godwin Nnadiekwe was rushed to the hospital this evening,” the statement read. “He is undergoing treatment for internal bleeding following an incident involving a kick on the chest during filming with his colleague, Zubby Michael.”

As of now, Zubby Michael has not publicly addressed the incident.
