Zazzau Emir reconstitutes emirate council

The Emir of Zazzau, Malam Ahmed Bamalli, has approved the reconstitution of new members for the Emirate Council to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.

The Royal Father made the announcement on Tuesday in a statement issued by his Media and Publicity Officer Alhaji Abdullahi Kwarbai in Zaria.

The council was earlier dissolved on October 12.

He said the newly reconstituted Council Members, who are to serve as full time members, were: the Wazirin Zazzau, Muhammadu-Inuwa Aminu, Galadiman Zazzau, Alhaji Nuhu Aliyu and Sarkin Fadan Zazzau Alhaji Abbas Fatika.

Others were the Fagacin Zazzau, Alhaji Umaru Mohammed, Makama Karami, Alhaji Mohammed Abbas, Limamin Jumma’a, Alhaji Dalhatu Imam and Limamin, Kona Alhaji Ahmad Khalifa.

The statement also announced the expansion of the Council with the appointment of the most senior title holders from the four ruling dynasties in the Emirate, to serve as part-time Council members.

” As such His Highness, the Emir of Zazzau, has equally approved the appointments of Magajin Garin Zazzau, Alhaji Mansur Bamalli as a representative from the Mallawa Dynasty.

“Others are Madakin Zazzau, Alhaji Munnir Ja’afaru, as the representative of Bare-Bari Dynasty and Dangaladiman Zazzau Alhaji Aminu Idris, as the representative from the Katsinawa Dynasty

“While Makaman Raya Kasan Zazzau Alhaji Shehu Yero will serve in the newly reconstituted Council as a representative from the Sullubawa Dynasty,” the statement said.

The statement added that all local government council chairmen in the emirate are to serve as Ex-officio members of the reconstituted Council.
