Zamfara APC denies rumors of Aminu Sani-Jaji leaving party

The All Progressives Congress faction in Zamfara State has denied rumors that a member of the House of Representatives, Aminu Sani-Jaji, is leaving the party.

On Saturday night, Mansur Kaura, the factional secretary of APC in Zamfara, issued a statement rejecting the claims.

Kaura emphasized that Jaji, who represents the Kaura Namoda/Birnin Magaji Federal Constituency, has been a strong supporter of President Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and the APC.

“Our attention has been drawn to another mischievous publication by some desperate political losers within the Zamfara APC aimed at destroying the hard-earned reputation of our political mentor, Rt Hon. Dr Aminu Sani Jaji,” Kaura said.

He explained that the circulated photo showing Jaji with NNPP National Leader Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso was taken before the inauguration of the 10th National Assembly. Jaji was seeking support for his bid to become Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives at that time.

“During that visit to Kwankwaso, our political leader Aminu Sani Jaji reached out to many prominent Nigerian politicians and canvassed for their support in his bid to win the post of Speaker,” Kaura added.

Kaura also noted that similar visits were made by other politicians, including former Zamfara Governor Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar and APC members like Tukur Umar Danfulani, who sought support for their candidates.

He accused certain Zamfara politicians of trying to cause division within the APC. “The individuals instigating the feud to frustrate Jaji and his supporters are Zamfara politicians who have caused significant political damage to the APC,” Kaura said.

He also called on APC leadership, led by former Governor Abdullahi Ganduje, to address issues with the Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, whom Kaura accused of undermining the party in Zamfara.

“The National Leadership of the APC should take note of our earlier publication, which highlighted that Matawalle has been financing the failure of the APC in Zamfara since the 2023 election season,” Kaura said.

Kaura affirmed that Aminu Jaji remains committed to the APC and has no plans to leave the party. “Aminu Sani Jaji has been a committed APC member all his life and has no intention of defecting,” he said.

The APC in Zamfara, led by Isiyaka Ajiya Anka, will continue to support Jaji and resist efforts to damage the party’s reputation.

“Aminu Sani Jaji and his millions of supporters will remain with the APC and President Tinubu at all costs,” Kaura concluded.
