Zamfara allocates N7.2b to complete Gusau investment house

The Zamfara State Government has set aside N7.2 billion for the completion of the Gusau Investment House project, according to the State Commissioner for Commerce, Industry, and Tourism, Abdurrahman Tumbido.

The announcement was made on Saturday in Gusau after the commissioner defended the 2024 appropriation of the ministry at the State House of Assembly.

The governor of Zamfara, Dauda Lawal presented a N423.5 billion Appropriation Bill for the 2024 fiscal year to the assembly on Thursday.

The incomplete 10-storey building of the investment house project was initiated during the administration of former Governor Mahmud Shinkafi.

Tumbido outlined the various development projects proposed under the 2024 budget of the state, stating, “The state government proposed to execute various development projects worth N17 billion under the ministry. Other major projects proposed in the budget were the completion of the Gusau hotel project, reconstruction of Gusau old market, and modernizing of Gusau Central market, among others.”
