Nigerian media personality Ifedayo Olarinde, popularly known as Daddy Freeze, has responded to rapper Jesse Jagz after the musician sent him an insulting message on social media.
The exchange began after Daddy Freeze expressed concern about the increasing use of hard drugs among Nigerian youths and urged young people to avoid substances that could harm their minds.
Jesse Jagz, whose real name is Jesse Abaga, reacted by tagging the media personality in a post on Monday with an insulting comment.
“Good morning sir, with all due respect sir, your papa y*nsh,” the rapper wrote.
Daddy Freeze responded to the message by revealing that Jesse Jagz had previously contacted him through direct messages asking for a chance to appear on his livestream.
According to the media personality, when Jesse Jagz appeared on the livestream, he was not mentally alert and could not maintain a proper conversation as planned.
Daddy Freeze expressed worry about the rapper’s condition, saying Jesse Jagz needs help more than singer Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Face or 2Baba.
“There are people who left the livestream because of the delirious state you were, Jesse, you need help,” Daddy Freeze stated.
The clash comes days after Jesse Jagz appeared in a viral video declaring his support for 2Baba, who has been dealing with public controversies.
In the video filmed outdoors, the rapper appeared upset and intoxicated while holding a cigarette and shouting at Daddy Freeze to defend 2Baba.
He repeatedly told the broadcaster to be quiet, saying: “Daddy Freeze, your papa. Una dey mental for head. I am physically heading from Jos to Abuja tomorrow morning. I am going to remove 2Baba so he can go drink a beer and smoke igbo. 2Baba married a wicked woman.”
The video sparked widespread reactions on social media, with many expressing concern about Jesse Jagz’s state of mind and behavior.
Daddy Freeze’s initial comments about drug abuse among youths had been part of his regular discussions about social issues affecting young Nigerians.
The media personality has been vocal about various topics affecting Nigerian society, often sparking debates with his views on religion, relationships, and lifestyle choices.
Jesse Jagz is a well-known rapper and record producer in the Nigerian music industry. He is the older brother of rapper M.I Abaga and has released several albums over his career.
The public exchange between the two has drawn mixed reactions from Nigerians on social media, with some agreeing with Daddy Freeze’s concern about the rapper’s wellbeing, while others criticized the media personality for discussing the matter publicly.
