You must hail your husband when he farts but it’s taboo to fart in his presence, Nigerian lady says [Video]
A Nigerian lady identified as Lisa Kanu has taken to social media to list some rules Igbo ladies must strictly adhere to when they get married.
In a video she posted on her Facebook page on Tuesday which has since gone viral, Kanu said non-adherence to the traditional guides on marriage by Igbo ladies is responsible for many failed union.
“The husband is the king of your family, he must also be given the kind of respect you give to Oba of Benin and other monarchs,” she said
She added that any woman who drinks beer in the presence of her husband is a bad woman, “and if you are a man if you stand watching your wife drinking beer it shows you are a vegetable,” Kanu said.
She also stated that it is a taboo for a married Igbo woman to fart in the presence of her husband. According to her, if such happens, the woman is expected to tender an immediate apology to her husband.
Kanu said failure to tender an apology in the olden days often resulted in the wife being sent back to her parents’ home for more training on how to be a wife.
