Nigerians have been warned to stop travelling to foreign countries with a “London used phones” (second-hand phones).
The Commander Rapid Response Squad, Tunji Disu, gave the warning on its Twitter account.
The Commander said any Nigerian that travels to the United Kingdom, United States, Germany, South Africa and Malaysia with a United Kingdom second-hand phone may go to jail.
He said the warning became imperative because most of the “London used phones” have been flagged off as robbed, stolen or been used for fraud, noting that such phones have also been confirmed in Lagos State.
He tweeted,
