A few days after his release from prison over his careless support for internet fraud, upcoming singer Naira Marley, seems to be courting controversy again.

He took to Instagram on Sunday to speak to internet fraudsters popularly known as ‘Yahoo Boys’ seeking compensations from them, because according to him, he went to jail because of them.

In the footage, the singer was seen saying:

Those of you that are yahoo boys are owing me money because Am I a Yahoo Boy? No. I have gone to jail because of you”.

Recall that the singer was arrested following a live IG video where he was seen justifying internet fraud, claiming it contributes to the economy of Nigeria.

The Economic Financial Crimes Commission had arrested him on May 10, 2019, together with Omoniyi Temidayo (aka Zlatan Ibile) and three others for alleged advance fee fraud.

Following his arrest, the anti-graft agency filed 11 charges against him before a Lagos State High Court.

He was, however, granted bail on May 30, by a Federal High Court in Lagos, in the sum of N2 million and two sureties to Naira Marley.
