WWE Hall of Famer, Kevin Nash, has launched a sharp criticism of President Donald Trump and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, claiming that the United States has already suffered a setback in the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
Nash, a former U.S. Army veteran, aired his frustrations on social media, drawing a comparison between the current situation and the Vietnam War while referencing the late CBS journalist Walter Cronkite. He also questioned the management of the nation’s strategic oil reserves and accused Trump and Hegseth of being the ones “driving the clown car.” He wrote,
“@PeteHegseth and @realDonaldTrump I’m sure we can agree that Walter Cronkite has passed. If he were here today I have a feeling he would mimic the observations of the war in South East Asia. It appears that America has lost this war. Please don’t sell anymore of our strategic oil reserves to donors. America is still great. Even with two of you driving the clown car. Put on your wetsuits, this blue wave is not survivable.”
The comments soon sparked a confrontation between Nash and one of his critics online. A social media user took aim at liberal-leaning wrestlers, suggesting that repeated chair shots had affected their judgment. Nash responded by questioning the current state of several international and domestic issues, including developments involving Ukraine and Russia, the Strait, household power supplies, the cost of living and the Epstein files. He wrote,
“Obviously the exact opposite. How many ships get thru the strait today with an American affiliation? No new wars? Ukraine/Russia over in 24 hours? Power to our homes? Cost of living? Should we open the conversation on the Epstein files? Looks like you take chair shots for sexual pleasure. Lame Duck is on the menu.”
The dispute continued after the critic defended Trump and brought Iran into the discussion. Nash challenged the historical framing of money returned to Iran, arguing that the funds had originally been paid to the United States for weapons that were never delivered following the Iranian Revolution and hostage crisis.
“You mean returning money the regime paid America for arms that were withheld after the revolution and taking of hostages? It was returned with interest. Not much on history?”
Nash then shifted his focus to the potential threat posed by nuclear weapons, citing North Korea and Iran while raising concerns about alleged military activity involving China and Iran. He also issued a warning about the consequences of further escalation before ending his response with a religious appeal.
“Thanks. North Korea has nukes. How many have they fired on another country? As many military cargo planes that have landed in Iran from China you don’t think a nuclear weapon was delivered? Iran has at least one Ohio class sub with 14-18 nukes with 8 warheads each. This sh** can only go so far. Find Christ and have an exit plan.”
