WWE has submitted trademark applications to the United States Patent and Trademark Office for four new ring names: “Vanta,” “Vanta The Unknown,” “Kylee Quinn,” and “Milosh Jovic.”

New WWE recruit Jessica Bogdanov, a former gymnast, confirmed through social media that she will perform under the name Vanta The Unknown.

Meanwhile, ex-track and field athlete Meghan Walker revealed that her WWE ring name will be Kylee Quinn.

The identity of the talent expected to use the name Milosh Jovic has not yet been disclosed.

Elsewhere, former WWE Diva Layla appeared on the “Insight” podcast and shared an amusing story involving former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon.

According to Layla, McMahon mistakenly believed she was from Miami and was unaware that she was actually born in England.

Because WWE regularly billed her as being from Miami during her early run with the company, McMahon reportedly never considered featuring her on UK events.

The misunderstanding only came to light during her first WWE tour in England when producer Michael Hayes informed him of her true background.

Discussing why her English accent was not obvious during promos, Layla recalled:

“So funny story about this, my first time ever being in England, standing by the ring, and then Michael Hayes comes out, and he’s like, ‘Hey, Vince didn’t even know you were from England’ I go, ‘What?’ He goes, ‘Yeah. I just told Vince that you’re from England, you should probably be in the segment. He goes, ‘No, she’s from Miami.’

“So the whole time I didn’t know that I’ve been there, been there probably a year or something. And even Vince didn’t even know I was from England. Because that’s what I was pushed. I was pushed from Miami and stuff like that, and he probably thought it was a Latin accent, or who knows, right? He didn’t know. That’s why I was never billed from England.”

Layla also revealed details about the shortest and longest matches of her career. When asked about her quickest match from entrance to exit, she answered:

“90 seconds.”

Regarding her longest bout, she stated:

“10 minutes.”

The former Women’s Champion also reflected on her reaction when WWE first presented the controversial “Piggy James” storyline involving Mickie James.

“When we were told about the first, like, pre-tape, and then the actual segment, I was kind of shocked, to be honest with you. I was surprised, but at the same time, I was also like, oh wow, at least they’re investing in a diva segment. So they’re giving us some time, and they were giving us a storyline that meant a lot, regardless of what the storyline was, they were actually giving the girls a storyline. So I was grateful, but also kind of looking at Mickie, is she okay with this?”

Layla acknowledged that many fans found the angle difficult to accept because Mickie James was not perceived as overweight, but she believes the storyline ultimately generated significant audience engagement.

“No, I know that. You got to remember, I think, especially in that time, in that era, it was like women, we were always made fun of. Our weight was so important to us, and there were certain things that we could get away with in that era that you could ever get away with now. So I think it was a very touchy story to some people, but I’m very glad that it happened, because it was the first time ever that divas got heat. They wanted to beat us up at live events, like literal women wanted to beat us up, like they really believed that we were, you know, and not only that, I think that, like, Mickie did amazing. That storyline, if you look at it, it was great, it was the first time the Divas section, especially on SmackDown, we had something.”

In AAA Wrestling news, the iconic Perros del Mal faction made its return during the June 20 edition of AAA on FOX.

The group reunited in dramatic fashion during the show’s main event, with Daga, Karmen Petrovic, Bronco Nima, Berto, and Angel joining forces to attack El Grande Americano.

Following the reunion, former Perros del Mal member Taya Valkyrie reacted on social media, reflecting on the faction’s legacy and influence on lucha libre.

“For those that don’t know the history, it goes deep. What we made, what we created, the cheers, the boos, the impact that Perros del Mal had on lucha libre history is undeniable. @SoyHijoDelPerro created a movement and I wouldn’t be where I am without him. Learn about the history and enjoy it. Because I will always treasure @PerrosdelMalMx. It was magic”
