Former World Wrestling Entertainment Champion, Brock Lesnar, may have declared that he is stepping away from in-ring competition, but a new report indicates that WWE has not completely ruled out the possibility of another appearance from “The Beast Incarnate.”
Lesnar announced earlier this week during an appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show” that he would be retiring from active competition following his SummerSlam defeat against Oba Femi.
However, a report from WrestleVotes claims that some key figures within WWE still believe Lesnar’s journey with the company could continue in some form.
According to the report, multiple “high-ranking officials” in WWE reportedly expect Lesnar to have a role at WrestleMania 43, which is set to take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The event will make history as the first WrestleMania to be held outside North America.
While another match may not be part of those plans, WWE is also considering the possibility of honoring Lesnar by having him headline the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2027. A source told the outlet they “can’t envision Lesnar walking away before one final payday in Saudi Arabia,” indicating that the company still views him as a major attraction during WrestleMania weekend.
This would not be the first time Lesnar has stepped away from WWE. After losing to Oba Femi at WrestleMania 42, Lesnar left his gloves in the ring, leading many fans to believe it was a retirement moment. WWE later moved his profile to the alumni section, further fueling speculation about his future. Although Lesnar considered himself retired after that loss, reports suggested that the result affected him and eventually contributed to his return before he officially announced his retirement after SummerSlam 2026.
WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque also suggested that Lesnar’s future may not be completely settled. Speaking during the SummerSlam 2026 post-show press conference, Levesque responded to the retirement announcement by saying, “You know as well as I do, Brock does what Brock wants. So I would take what he said at face value, and let’s see.”
For now, Lesnar maintains that his wrestling career has come to an end. However, if the latest reports are accurate, WWE officials are still leaving room for a potential return from one of the most dominant performers in the company’s history.
