Nollywood actress and producer Wumi Toriola has been ranked the second-highest grossing producer for 2024, according to Nigeria Box rankings.
Her film, Queen Lateefah, earned a spot on the prestigious list, tying with Judith Audu as both producers grossed an impressive N365 million at the box office.
Funke Akindele topped the chart, securing the number one position with a record-breaking N1.124 billion.
Wumi Toriola expressed her gratitude on social media and congratulated her fellow producers for their achievements. “Grateful still. Congratulations to all the film producers. *Queen Lateefah* is sitting pretty on No. 2. E clear still. Congratulations Judith Audu. We did a thing,” she wrote.
The actress also acknowledged her successful partnership with Captain of the Sea Productions, which was recognized as the highest-grossing Nollywood collaboration.
“Grateful for the healthy collaboration for Queen Lateefah with @cinemaxng @iamopeajayi. Thank you for making it hitch-free and still healthy. We hope for greater works in 2025,” she added.
