Triplet brothers, Larry Alden Brown, Lon Bernard Brown, and Gene Carol Brown, born on December 1, 1930, are now officially recognized by the Guinness World Records as the oldest living triplets, celebrating their 93rd birthday today.
The triplets, originally from Kalvesta, Kansas, USA, have maintained a strong bond throughout their lives.
“We would’ve tried to get together at least one more time, but my brother Gene in Oklahoma is not doing well and cannot travel,” shared Larry, acknowledging the physical distance among them. “We’ll each have our own celebrations as we are able.”
The last time the triplets gathered was for their 92nd birthday last year, uniting their families and cherishing the time spent together.
Larry expressed, “We were able to all get together last year for our 92nd birthday with our families and really enjoyed our time together. This was the last time the three of us were together.”
Despite geographical challenges, their relationship has remained close.
Larry highlighted, “We have always made sure to get together with each other’s family when possible, and our kids are still close to each other to this day.”
The triplets moved near Nevada, Missouri, with their family at around seven years old and lived there until shortly after high school.
Larry reflected on their childhood, stating, “Being a triplet was great because we always had someone to play with. We weren’t just brothers – we were friends.”
Their shared adventures included playing basketball and engaging in friendly boxing matches.
Larry recalled, “We also had boxing gloves and Gene and Lon would get into boxing matches. I didn’t care for getting hit in the face, so I didn’t do much of that.”
Larry attributed their long and healthy lives to avoiding smoking, drinking, and drugs. He reflected, “We always had each other as friends as well as brothers, and we were always each other’s protectors.”
