Barcelona have announced the signing of Frenkie De Jong on a five-year deal.
The Ajax youngster will move to Camp Nou in the summer in a deal worth up to €86million; 75 million euros, plus a further 11 million in variables.
The player will be signing a contract for the next five seasons, through to 2023/24.
The president Josep Maria Bartomeu and the CEO Òscar Grau were personally involved in closing the deal in Amsterdam.
According to Radio Catalunya, the Spanish champions sent a contingent of executives to Amsterdam on Wednesday to complete the transfer.
He is the third signing made by Barcelona this month after the arrivals of Kevin-Prince Boateng and Jeison Murillo.
Boateng has moved from Serie A side Sassuolo on a six-month loan deal while Murillo arrived on loan from Valencia.
De Jong has made 28 appearances this season, building on the 26 games he played in the last campaign.
