Edo state Governor, Godwin Obaseki, on Tuesday, called for prayers from religious bodies to end economic recession across the country.
Obaseki who was represented by his Deputy, Mr Philip Shaibu, made the call in Benin City when the General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Ministry, Pastor Williams Kumuyi paid him a courtesy visit in Government House.
He attributed the peaceful conduct of he just concluded governorship election in the state to effective prayers. The Governor stressed that Pastor Kumuyi’s visit to the State was apt and a divine call.
In a swift reaction, Pastor Kumuyi explained that he was in Edo State for his congregation mass gathering as well as to be a blessing to the state.
