Women’s World Cup: Cameroun beat New Zealand to qualify for Round of 16
Cameroon have secured a place in the knockout stages of the ongoing FIFA Women’s World Cup in France after beating New Zealand 2-1 on Thursday evening.
Cameroon were on their way out of the tournament before Ajara Nchout scored the goal in the last 11 seconds of the match. Now they’re going into the last 16.
The goal eliminates Argentina, who can no longer finish as one of the top four third-placed teams.
