Chaos broke out at Drake’s October’s Very Own store in New York City when a woman smashed windows and allegedly tried to set the store on fire.

Videos shared online showed the woman, dressed in a black bra and leather pants, throwing items to the floor and smashing glass with a hammer. She then walked calmly down the street as bystanders watched in shock.

According to TMZ, NYPD officers later arrested her at a nearby corner, handcuffed her, searched her bag, and took her into custody. Police confirmed she was booked for criminal mischief and attempted arson.

The incident happened just as Drake achieved another major milestone in his career. The rapper has been crowned Billboard’s No. 1 R\&B/Hip Hop Artist of the 21st Century, topping a list that includes Beyoncé, The Weeknd, Lil Wayne, and JAY-Z.

According to Billboard, the ranking is based on artist performance on the Top R\&B/Hip Hop Albums and Hot R\&B/Hip Hop Songs charts from January 2000 through December 2024. Drake, who began his chart journey in 2009, has since earned 30 No. 1 songs and 15 No. 1 albums, the most in the history of both charts.

Billboard noted that his consistent releases and numerous collaborations helped him dominate the charts. Beyoncé follows in second place with eight No. 1 albums and 10 No. 1 singles, while The Weeknd, Chris Brown, Usher, and Lil Wayne also hold top positions.

Drake’s team has yet to release a statement on the Manhattan store attack.
