A 40-year-old woman, Biola Joshua, has been ordered to sweep her son’s school, Iju-Ebiye High School, for six months for hiring thugs to beat up the principal and another person. invading its premises with thugs.
Joshua was arraigned before a Magistrates’ Court in Ota, Ogun State, on Wednesday, by the police, facing three counts bothering on conspiracy, assault and breach of peace.
She reportedly invaded that school premises with thugs on March 11, 2021, around 2pm, after he son was scolded and she was subsequently arrested.
Delivering his ruling, Magistrate Shotunde Shotayo, ordered the convict to sweep the school from 8am to 11am every day, according to The PUNCH.
He also directed that the school open a logbook for the convict, where her daily activities would be recorded for the six-month period.
In addition, the suspect was handed a fine option of N30,000 to be given to the injured principal and school official.
He held that the prosecution proved its case beyond a reasonable doubt.
