Upcoming gospel music producer and singer, Alexander Dapo, whose real name is Shadrach Ayooluwa Ojedapo, has been accused of sexual harassment by a young woman identified as Tolani.

Accordingly to Tolani, she starred in his recent music video after which the singer propositioned sexual favours from her.

In a series of posts, Tolani recounted the events leading to the alleged harassment, stating, “Didn’t want to do this, but I have no choice. On September 1, 2024, Alexander Dapo reached out to me to feature in his music video for a ‘Christian song.’ We had no prior interaction before this. We came to an agreement, and I kept everything professional.”

She continued, “He sent me the plot of the music video, and it involved kissing. I wasn’t comfortable with it, and I told him. My parents were aware I was doing this. I managed to convince him to make the kiss fake by turning my head and blocking the camera. He strongly disagreed at first, but I got my way.”

Tolani explained that the shoot took place at the University of Lagos Waterfront, where she was accompanied by her sister. Alexander Dapo, his brother Josh, and a videographer were also present. After the shoot, she said Dapo walked them out while discussing his plans for the video.

“He kept talking about how this music video was special and how God revealed it to him that it would change his life,” she said. “He mentioned me being his dream wife, which I overlooked because I just wanted to collect the rest of my payment.”

The situation escalated after the shoot, with Tolani alleging that Dapo sent her messages expressing romantic interest.

She shared screenshots of messages where he talked about marriage and asked her to meet him, offering to pay her and buy her food.

“I didn’t block him; I just let it slide because I was already used to men sexualizing me at this point,” Tolani wrote. “Only for him to come back to my DM with this, like every Lagos girl is a prostitute? I blocked him.”

Tolani claimed Dapo later sent her an email, accusing her of “acting like a child.” She noted, “I was 19 when that video was shot, so yes, I am still a child. Alexander Dapo, you are mentally ill. Leave me alone!”
