The founder of Zion Prayer Movement, Prophet Ebuka Obi, has confirmed the arrest of a woman who gave a false testimony about buying a N500 million house in his church.
The woman, whose identity is yet to be revealed, had testified at the church, claiming that God blessed her with a mansion worth N500 million. However, investigations later showed that the story was false and that she was a local drink seller.
Speaking during a recent sermon, Prophet Ebuka Obi informed the congregation that the woman had been arrested by security operatives.
“I heard they have arrested the girl. We are interested in the case. The case cannot be manipulated. We want to know who sent her,” he said.
The clergyman also alleged that certain people were paying popular bloggers to speak against him and his ministry, vowing to uncover those behind the false claims.
“I said it last month that my name would be all over the media. I said the media would be shaking, making it look real, but it’s all fake,” Obi added.
“Now, do I know her? Does any member know her? She came to testify, just like hundreds of others who come here daily. If the house she claimed to own is fake, then it is her who lied before God and His altar — not the ministry.”
