Chelsea’s woes continued as Wolverhampton Wanderers secured a stunning 4-2 victory at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League, marking the Blues’ second defeat of the week.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side suffered a disappointing loss to Liverpool at Anfield prior to their defeat against Wolves.

Despite Cole Palmer giving Chelsea an early lead, Matheus Cunha’s hat-trick propelled Wolves to their first Premier League double over Chelsea since 1974-75, intensifying pressure on Pochettino.

After a cautious start, Palmer opened the scoring for Chelsea, but Wolves swiftly equalized through Cunha’s deflected shot.

An own goal from Axel Disasi put Chelsea behind at halftime. Despite a spirited second-half display from Chelsea, Cunha capitalized on defensive lapses to extend Wolves’ lead.

Thiago Silva’s late header provided Chelsea with a consolation goal, but Wolves’ victory catapulted them into 10th place and marked their first win at Stamford Bridge since 1979.
