Comedian and actor, Woli Arole, has announced the passing of his father in an emotional tribute shared on social media.
The comedian, whose real name is Oluwatoyin Bayegun, broke the news late on Sunday, expressing his total submission to God’s will. He shared a heartfelt post on his Instagram page, accompanied by a touching photo of himself and his father.
“It has pleased the LORD to receive my FATHER in GLORY,” Woli Arole wrote.
He described his father as his hero and role model, adding, “I am happy I spent your last moments with you in JOY, PRAYERS and FUN. Rest well Baba Jimmy. Happy you left a LEGACY and that LEGACY is ME!!!!!! I would miss you so MUCH!!!!!”
Woli Arole’s announcement drew an outpouring of support and condolences from fans and colleagues, who praised him for celebrating his father’s life.
Recently, Woli Arole announced a shift in his career, dedicating more time to ministry work under his initiative, Friends’ Fellowship International.
He expressed that his experiences during difficult times have led him to take this path seriously. In interviews, he shared that he feels called to use his comedic talents for prophetic ministry and has begun holding meetings and crusades to connect with people spiritually.
