Wizkid is first Nigerian artiste to be nominated for NAACP award
Multiple award-winning Nigerian artiste, Ayo Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid has emerged the first Nigerian musician to receive a nomination for the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Image Award.
The artiste after his ‘Brown Skin Girl’ collaboration with American singer, Beyonce bagged a nomination for “Outstanding Duo, Group or Collaboration” at the 2020 NAACP Image Awards.
Wizkid would go head to head in the category with other prominent singers such as Drake, Alicia Keys, J Cole, Chris Brown amongst others.
