Nigerian music star Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has shown support for his fellow artist Ayoleyi Solomon, also known as Reekado Banks, by visiting his newly opened lounge, Above Lifestyle, in Lagos.
The visit has caught the attention of many fans, especially given the history between the two singers.
In 2020, Wizkid publicly called Reekado Banks a “fool” during the EndSARS protests for promoting a song they worked on together at a time of national unrest.
Reekado Banks had tweeted: “Out of control, gbedu must drop. This one with my brother @wizkidayo “Omo Olomo” midnight dropping. still on the matter!!! #EndSWAT #EndSARS #EndPoliceBrutality.”
In response to his tweet, Wizkid wrote: “Delete this dude! Can’t believe you are even doing this at a time like this. Old song! #endsars fool!”
The incident caused a stir online, with many criticizing Wizkid for his harsh words.
However, recent videos circulating on social media show that the two artists have seemingly moved past their differences. Wizkid was seen arriving at Reekado Banks’ lounge alongside fellow artist Shallipopi.
Reekado welcomed Wizkid at the entrance with a warm hug, and they were later spotted chatting and having drinks together inside the lounge.

Fans were quick to react to the heartwarming reunion.
A user, Stanley 6 to 6, commented, “The music they sang in 2020 will drop now.” Another user, Pacman0309, added, “They’ve put the past behind them. It’s all love.”
The bond between the two artists appears to have strengthened, and fans are now hopeful that they may even release new music together.

Reekado Banks, a former signee of Don Jazzy’s Mavin Records, left the label in 2018 after five years.
Despite the fallout with Wizkid in 2020, the recent show of support at his new lounge signals a positive turn in their relationship.
