Afrobeats stars Ayodeji Wizkid Balogun and Ahmed Asake Ololade have announced their first joint extended play titled Real Vol. 1, set for release this December.

The duo revealed the date during an Apple Music Radio takeover, clips of which they posted on social media.

Wizkid, 35, said, “Special announcement. Mr Money and Big Wiz, our project is called Real, and it will be released this December for the people. One time, Vol. 1.”

To build excitement, Nigerian American DJ Michael DJ Tunez Adeyinka shared a snippet of a track titled Jogodo on his X page. The song features Asake’s smooth Yoruba vocals, while Wizkid comes in with a verse that plays on the track’s title and references attempts to “kill him with alcohol.”

Although this is their first joint EP, both artistes have worked together before. Asake featured Wizkid on MMS, a single from his 2024 album Lungu Boy released on October 5, 2024.

During the radio appearance, Asake said their relationship is genuine and goes beyond music.

The EP is expected to blend Wizkid’s signature Afropop sound with Asake’s energetic, choir-style delivery.
