This year’s event carries the theme, “Legacy of Leadership: Powering Africa’s Future.” The Democracy Heroes Award seeks to honour political figures who have strengthened democratic values through transformative leadership and development-oriented initiatives.
The recognition also extends to entrepreneurs, business leaders, and entertainers who have contributed to societal stability by fostering job creation, youth empowerment, and poverty reduction.
Project Director of FDN, Olufunsho Ajagbonna, congratulated the award recipients, reaffirming the organisation’s commitment to celebrating individuals who demonstrate exceptional dedication to public service. “The organization will continue to encourage excellent performance by recognising those who have distinguished themselves in serving the people,” he stated.
